As wildlife rehabilitators, Nature’s Nanny Wildlife Rehabilitation is dedicated to giving the public support for their wildlife concerns. If it is an injured bird or other animal is in danger we want to provide help quickly and alleviate the person’s concerns. Answering questions on where to get help for a particular wildlife-related problem, offering on-the-ground support with rescues, and providing resources to those in need. Wildlife rehabbers do all of this for the public along with rehabilitating sick, orphaned, and injured wildlife.
Wildlife Rehabilitation is an ongoing and intense team effort. We are basically the 911 and ER for wildlife. We serve the community in many ways. Citizens call for help, and police, animal control, and the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources come to us for advice, care, and treatment of wildlife.
We work closely with area veterinarians to provide quality, life-saving treatment to accomplish the ultimate goal of getting the local wildlife we care for back out into the wild (link opens a new window) with their best chance of survival.
